CITY WAYPOINT / EDITORIAL POLICY

Useful first. Clear always.

Our editorial work is guided by usefulness, accurate sourcing, and a clear distinction between verified facts and planning advice.

Effective

Editorial scope

City Waypoint covers cities, neighborhoods, local experiences, transport planning, and short escapes. We aim to answer a specific travel-planning question in each guide, with clear explanations and choices readers can adapt to their own circumstances.

Research and verification

Operational claims are checked against appropriate primary sources, including public authorities, transport operators, attraction websites, and official destination resources. Relevant sources are linked with the article. We avoid unsupported prices, guarantees about access, and rankings presented as objective fact.

Some recommendations are editorial judgments about how to organize a trip. Hypothetical schedules and worked examples are identified as examples, rather than actual departures or a claim that a route has been personally tested.

Authorship and tools

Articles may be credited to the City Waypoint brand. Research, drafting, or editing may be supported by automated tools; responsibility for the editorial choices remains with City Waypoint. We do not invent a named author, professional qualification, personal visit, review, or endorsement. Automated assistance is not a substitute for checking factual claims.

Information that can change

Fares, service patterns, entry conditions, opening hours, reservations, and local restrictions may change after a guide is prepared. We provide official links so readers can confirm the details for their travel date. Guides are informational resources, not real-time operational notices or substitutes for official instructions.

Dates and revisions

Dates shown with articles identify their place in our editorial publication calendar. A source-check date records when references were reviewed. An updated label is used for a substantive revision, rather than being refreshed automatically each time someone opens a page. Reading times are estimates.

Images and attribution

Photographs must have an appropriate reuse license or permission. Alt text describes the visible scene, and captions distinguish a reference image from current conditions. Original authors, source pages, licenses, and technical changes are recorded on the Image Credits page. We do not transfer ownership of third-party images to City Waypoint.

Editorial independence and commercial relationships

Links and mentions do not, by themselves, indicate a commercial relationship. This website currently has no active advertising network, paid subscription, or affiliate-link program. If sponsored material or affiliate links are introduced, the relevant relationship will be disclosed near the affected content.

Corrections and complaints

Send corrections to hello@citywaypoint.com. Include the article URL, the statement you are questioning, and a reliable source where available. We review reports and make appropriate corrections, clarifications, or removals. We do not promise an immediate response or guarantee that every suggestion will be adopted.
